Shoulder Injury Compensation
There a wide range of shoulder injuries and these can affect other parts of the body such as neck and back.
Shoulder injuries are split into 5 brackets:
- Severe
- Serious
- Moderate
- Minor
- Fracture of Clavicle
Severe shoulder injuries that are often associated with neck injuries and involve damage to the brachial plexus resulting in significant disability. £14,600 to £36,500.
Serious shoulder injuries such as dislocation of the shoulder and damage to the lower part of the brachial plexus causing pain in shoulder and neck, aching in elbow, weakness of grip etc. This could also be a fracture to the humerus leading to restricted shoulder movement. £9,700 to £14,600.
Moderate shoulder injuries can be a frozen shoulder with limited movement and discomfort/symptoms for around 2 years. Soft tissue damage can also fall into this bracket if persisting over 2 years but not permanent. £6,000 to £9,700.
Minor shoulder injuries can be soft tissue injuries with pain but with am almost complete recovery. If recovery is:
In less than 2 years: £3,300 to £6,000
Within a year: £1,860 to £3,300
Within 3 months: A few hundred pounds to £1,860.
Fracture of Clavicle compensation will depend on the extent of the fracture, level of disability, ongoing symptoms etc. £3,900 to £9,300.
