Below we have listed the different types of Asbestos Related Injuries and Mesothelioma Compensation Guidelines.
If you have been diagnosed with Mesothelioma you could be able to claim between £53,200 up to £95,700. There are a lot of different factors involved which will reflect the level of award within the bracket. A few of these factors are listed below:
- Duration of suffering and pain
- Extent of the effects of surgery, therapy or invasive investigations
- The type of mesothelioma
- If other organs have been spread to
- Previous state of health
- Concern for spouse and/or children following death
If you have been diagnosed with Asbestosis and Pleural Thickening where the level of disability from the disease will be in excess of 10% and suffering from progressive symptoms you may be able to claim between £29,200 to £80,450. The awards at the lower end of the bracket will be for those where the condition is fairly static. Those on the higher end of the awards scale will be where the condition has already progressed or is likely to and cause severe breathing problems. Awards at the top end will be where mobility and quality of life has already or is likely to be impaired and/or life expectancy reduced.
If you have been diagnosed with Asbestosis and Pleural Thickening where the level of disability from the disease will be between 1-10% you may be able to claim between £11,450- £29,200. The level of award in this bracket will reflect if the diagnosis of disability is to be final or on a provisional basis.
